For four years now, we have been collecting food and essential items from homes and workplaces across Cambridge and delivering them to the Trumpington Food Hub. Many of you have supported us, some regularly, and we are genuinely very grateful. Sadly demand locally has not reduced. If anything, it has increased. Without getting drawn into wider commentary, it is clear that more households are finding everyday essentials harder to manage. The Food Hub continues to support families who are quietly navigating that reality. So to reflect this need, rather than pause or scale back, we would like to increase our weekly collections. So how does it work? We collect every week. We deliver to the Food Hub on Fridays. We will come to your home or workplace. There is no minimum donation, a single tin is welcome. Commonly needed items include pasta and rice, tinned fruit and vegetables, soup, tea and coffee, toiletries, baby supplies, washing powder. If you are in a position to donate, even occasionally, please email: [email protected]. Or feel free to call the office on 01223 508050 and we will arrange collection. No fanfare. No fuss. Just practical support delivered consistently. A huge thank you for being part of it.
