At Cooke Curtis & Co, our core values are Trustworthy, Innovative, Accountable, and Consistent. So what? We can all shout words like these from the rooftops (see what we did there?) but what is important is that they are an expression of everything that we do. We live and breathe them if you like. And even more importantly is that these values exist to serve you, our clients, rather than being self serving. We are under no illusions that walking the walk is harder than talking the talk, and I am sure occasionally we fall short, but by constantly reviewing how we operate we ensure we consistently deliver against these values. The following explains how and what this means to you.
Trustworthy. Our commitment to honesty and integrity means that we put your needs ahead of ours. I know this might sound disingenuous but let me explain the logic. We are a commercial estate agency. We need to make a profit. That said, with our many many years of experience we know only too well that this is about forging long term relationships with our clients. It’s not about making a quick buck. And trust us when we say people can see straight through 'quick buck' merchants and importantly they don’t come back! Only by treating clients respectfully and honestly do we build these relationships. And this benefits you, the client, and us, a small cog in a capitalist system. Anyway, enough politics!
Innovative. This is a fundamental part of our DNA, and has been from the start. It means we stand out. And actually it means we enjoy our work more. We blend uniquely creative marketing strategies and innovative technology to give you an edge in the property market. And it’s not about vanity. It's about adding value. From creating the highest quality virtual tours to developing personalised marketing plans - every sale and every let is different: Our approach ensures you get the best price, in the quickest time. And actually, and importantly, you come out the other end free of bruises in this less than perfect property market.
Accountable. There is a huge amount of rhetoric here, and even more green washing. We are acutely aware that we are but a small player in the grand scheme of things but we have always taken our responsibilities seriously, both to you and to the environment. We walk to appointments when we can, if not we cycle, and if that isn’t possible we jump in one our fleet of electric cars - this matters to us. We have also set up an annual fund which has supported numerous local initiatives over the years and we undertake regular initiatives such as Christmas tree collections for Arthur Rank Charity and food deliveries with Cambridge Food Banks. We don’t just donate money to charities; that’s the easy part, we are at the coal face getting our hands dirty. Metaphorically and literally in some cases! When you choose us, you’re choosing an agent that cares about more than just profits. And this is as true today as it was when our names went above the door all those years ago.
Consistent. Consistency is key. And this is why regularly reviewing our performance is essential. Consistency in our service means you can expect the same high-quality experience every time - and our numerous ‘repeat’ customers is evidence of this. As do our numerous awards, many of which focus on client satisfaction - to us the most important metric. We are dedicated and reliable. And this has shown quantifiable success - we are consistently the top-performing estate agent in Cambridge. As I have said, everything we do is about increasing our impact.
Why It Matters. As I have said throughout this article none of this done out of vanity. It is about adding value, and getting results - quantifiable results.
